I still read ad/popup blocker reviews almost every week, some rated 4.5 and 5 stars. With this type of rating system Ad Muncher would need to score 10 stars. Hands down Ad Muncher is the best ad/popup blocker out there both in performance, ease of use, and tech support. It's an extremely small program using very little resources and does not affect the performance of computer. I've tried Ad Muncher in very basic low end PC's on up to burn em up gaming machines with no affect on performance from the top on down. I've never experienced another general consumer or corporate software or hardware tech support department that you can just email and REALLY have a solution to a problem in 24-48 hours or less. I can't emphasize enough how excellent this product is. My primary browser is IE6. People talk about security holes, dangerous spyware, faulty ActiveX, and the like ad infinitum, but I see none of it. Ad Muncher sweeps it all under the rug.
That's in addition to the most intelligent ad filtering I've ever seen. Text ads, floating ads, flash ads, and all the ordinary methods.. *poof!* gone.
If Microsoft were at all on their game, they would buy Ad Muncher and Maxthon, spruce up the IE6 rendering engine, and release the lot as IE7. The result is absolutely, without question, better than any browser on the market. | | | | | | | |

In past years, I have sampled pop-up blockers in various applications and browsers (e.g., AdSubtract, PopUp Cop, IE7, Avant Browser, FireFox, etc.), but nothing even comes close to Ad Muncher in its ability to block both ads and pop-ups in an intelligent and flexible manner, thus removing the 'obnoxious factor' from surfing the web. | | | | Not sure how many years I have been using Ad Muncher, but I would never go online again without it. It is THE most effective "everything" blocker I have ever used, and as the front page states, it can be used "straight out of the box" with little to no adjustment.
The developer responds rapidly to any question, problem, suggestion or complaint and a fix is supplied (if needed), in many cases, the same day. This is first rate service from a developer who cares about his client as much as he does his application.
I am anal retentive when it comes to security and with Ad Muncher, there is no reason to disable scripts or jump through other hoops caused by malicious adverts, banners and pop-ups.
