Postby war59312 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 6:39 pm

Hi,

http://www.rlslog.net/ fails to load in firefox while admuncher is running. It loads fine in IE though.

Thanks,

Will

This site has been acting up over the past few days.

I do believe this is unrelated to Ad Muncher.

I just loaded it in Opera 9.27/9.5, firefox 2.x/3.x and IE6 :)

Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah loads fine in IE and Opera. I even tried FF safe mode and admuncher filtering disabled and still wont load.

If I disable admuncher the site loads fine in FF so that is why I thought it might an issue with admuncher.

Well gave it 48 hours and still having the same problem. :(

Even odder is the fact that their RSS feed will load just fine (images and all) in FF...

Log is completely blank.

Same problem even when filtering is disabled. The second I close admuncher the page will load fine.

Wireshark log, hope it helps:

The same problem here. Rlslog.net is not loading, just the blank screen apears. I have tried both, the old version of AM, which i got from fiend, and then the newest one. Its the same, blank screen on loading the page.

LOG:

Default filter match - Remove scripts with text: height=1 width=1>"); [http://www.rlslog.net/favicon.ico]
Default filter match - Remove scripts with text: .extreme-dm. [http://www.rlslog.net/favicon.ico]

I have tried to make a filter, and it still doesn't load.
I use Version Opera 9.27, Build 8841. With firefox the page loads perfectly, with no ads at all.

Backup your Ad Muncher settings and then reset Ad Muncher to default settings and test.

The site loads fine here in firefox 2.x/3.x

I have done this for several times. (Tools>load/save/reset cfg>teset to defaults all checked)
Didnt help. Still in Opera it shows blank page.

But one time with Opera the page actually loaded with no ads, checked the log, this and more lines were unusual. Then i restarted AM, and it shows blank screen every time when i try to enter the site.

Code: Select all

Tried to upgrade opera to 9.5 beta but the site is still blocked - blank screen.

Also tried Firefox, loads with no ads, log:

Same, resetting to defaults makes no difference.

Also happens when running Firefox in safe mode so I know it is not some add-on.

I just completely uninstalled admuncher, rebooted, and tried again and still blank white page when admuncher is running.

And this is with only firefox and admuncher running on my system. Nothing else is running, nothing. Only built in services, firefox, and admuncher. That's it!!

Admuncher is running with 100% default settings, minus registration details.

Disable admucher filtering and page loads fine.

So can I please get a debug build so we can track this thing down?

Jeff fixed this issue for me, by having me download and install a debug build. After installing this build the page loads fine even after reinstalling final build of Ad Muncher v4.72.

This BUG is still present in the latest Ad Muncher v4.72 Build 30400/2027.
Even if I disable FF, rlslog.net will NOT be loaded !!

Try reinstalling Ad Muncher to see if it jars anything loose.

I have no trouble visiting that site in ANY browser.

I've reinstalled Ad Muncher, but it didn't help. The page is not displayed in IE6 or FF 3.x (XP sp2).
Here is TCP stream data:

sent:
Code: Select all
          GET / HTTP/1.1
          Accept: */*
          Accept-Language: en-us
          Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate

          Host: http://www.rlslog.net
          Connection: Keep-Alive
          Cookie: demVoted_15=82

received:
Code: Select all
          HTTP/1.1 200 OK
          Server: Apache/2

          Age: 0
          Via: 1.1 varnish
          Connection: keep-alive

well, I've used only HttpWatch + Ethereal tools, but I didn't find anything odd. Even if AdMuncher was disabled, the page isn't displayed (I have to kill the application, then it works). Please tell me how to log more data for you, thanks.
